Edison Avenue Sidewalk Project

The Edison Avenue Sidewalk Project is a City led initiative aimed at promoting a safe walkable environment in Old Town by developing a sidewalk between the end of the 1st Street sidewalk and the Jetty Road path. Additionally, the City has been working in connection with the Dyer Partnership to organize bids for this project and to identify the most qualified candidate. In 2019, the City secured a $100,000 Small City Allotment from the Oregon Department of Transportation to support this endeavor.

In early June 2024, the City received four bids in the following amounts:

  1. $325,083.18 by Guido Construction, Inc.
  2. $345,768.80 by Laskey-Clifton Corp.
  3. $345,945 by Knife River Materials
  4. $349,823.00 by Brown Contracting

The Dyer Partnership and City staff believe that Guido Construction, Inc. has sufficient experience and qualifications to satisfactorily construct the project.
